Some people may find the following images controversial

As the unofficial home of the Gay & Lesbian rights movement, NYC has a huge parade every year to celebrate the diversity of the world. This year I was able hook up with a friend who was running sound at the parade and I had a unobstructed spot right next to the main grandstand. Unfortunately it was the last hurah for my lens, which had suffered a fall a few days before, so the images were as good as I'd like them to be, and many weren't even acceptable to me.

Here are the ones that came out though...

Great pictures!
I wish my pride parade pictures came out half as good.
I love the flame one - the flame looks like a heart.

thanks all...

No camera in the world could record the most moving part of the day. At noon, there was 2 minutes of silence for all those lost to AIDS. I swear the entire city of New York was silent. All the fanfare, color, and celebration paused to remember.

We lost my brother's life partner to AIDS over 10 years ago, and I still miss him.

Yah they did the same thing here in Toronto, it was incredible to see such a bustling city literally come to a complete standstill, very powerful. Im sorry to hear about your brothers partner.
