    Default Automotive Photography Website

Hey everyone! Let me start by saying this post is not spam, and I won't even attempt to post a link until I have been invited to do so.

I know that it is usually frowned upon to show up on a forum and talk about another website, but I'm starting to feel stuck, and don't know where else to turn.

As you could have probably guessed by the thread title, I have a website that mostly displays automotive photography. From what I have seen, there is a decent sized group of people out there that visit car shows on a regular basis photographing them. Many of these people have personal websites and facebook pages where they display their work. I am trying to connect with some of these photographers to invite them into my site. The basic idea behind my site is that these photographers come in and post 3-4 pictures from their group of a hundred or so from that days event, along with clear links back to their site for the complete gallery. This would make my site the hub for fans of these events to find the most recent coverage. I also feel that this would help the photographers by getting their shots (with their watermarks in some cases) and site links on a site that could be bigger than their own.

I am here today to ask my fellow photographers how they would feel about doing something like this. Please bear in mind that THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION to you to join me, I simply want to know if this sounds like an agreeable option between two strangers, or am I stealing credit/earnings/etc from your hard work? If I were to approach you in person, or online, would you assume that I was a crook/scammer or someone that you might be able to work with? I ask because I have had very little success in getting photographers to join me, and every time I run a craigslist ad looking for photographers it gets flagged as spam and remover, even though it clearly is not.

Before you ask or accuse please understand:
    1. I do not offer to pay anyone for their images
    2. I do not want credit for anyones work, and allow everyone that participates to post images with watermark and 1-2 links back to their site/facebook
    3. Yes there are ads on my site that pay back to me and a few other people
    4. Yes I do go to events and post my own images on this site
    5. I honestly believe that the program I have mapped out will help both myself, and anyone else that participates

Please share your thoughts, I have put a lot of work into this project and want to make it succede.

Thank you for taking the time to ask in advance.

Are you creating a community form or just a gallery? It makes a difference.

Photographers are allowed to post links back to their own photography-related websites in their signatures and they can also post a link in the "My website" forum. But links to communities that would essentially compete with Photo Forum are not permitted.

    See: Forum Rules

    10. POSTING EXTERNAL WEBSITES
You can advertise your personal photography website in the "Your Website" section or/and in the Photography Directory. Promoting other photography communities or photography related forums (or any forum that resembles the structure and/or content of PhotoForum.com) in your posts, signatures, or in any way on the forum is not permitted and may result in termination of membership.
Links to non-photography related sites in your signature are not allowed.
