Weekly Theme Birds of a Feather

Like many on here we love animals and being photographers love every opportunity we get to photograph animals. So while I appreciate we have an animals section I would still like the theme this week to concentrate on birds (the feathered kind please). So lets see how an English Robin varies from the American Robin and lets see the wonderful colour one of nature greatest creations brings to our lives.

2 images per post but post as many times as you like.

This theme will run for 2 weeks.

You don't often see these guys resting as they always seem to be on the wing.

    SWALLOW

GREENFINCH - though this guy is looking more yellow than green

Until I can get home from work to upload the pictures I have of birds here is one of my son, focus was not so much on the bird, nor picture quality at the time.. But i do take a lot of pictures of birds as it is a passion for my son atm.

I'm not a birder, but I did head out one day with my 2,000mm when there was a bunch of bald eagles on a frozen lake.

Oh, and digging through the archives, I stumbled across this:

Hmmm. Seems my Gray Matter Hard Drive is forgetting about how many bird shots I have.
