Cool! They must have tightened security and maybe moved the museum planes after I was there in 2002- there were a bunch of planes parked on a big area of tarmac which also was a parking lot for visitors. I don't remember most of the other planes but there was a biplane and a Huey. I really wish I hadn't seen that Huey. I was in SD to give myself a birthday present of camping in Plains grass. Ugh, it was July and the heat and humidity were horrendous. The Badlands were really cool and I watched some bigwallers climb Devil's Tower without ropes (Unbelievable! Those guys are crazy!), and got about a million louse bites when I camped in Custer State Park.

The gulls on the roof were just sitting there quietly until the other one flew by; then they erupted into loud displays. It seemed like they knew him and were saying hi.

Some very nice ones so far indeed.
No swans yet i see,so here it goes.

Great shame about the obstructing plant i know/agree,as in the following pic as well,ah well...
    Landing.

Having a marvelous couple of weeks, had my first sighting of a pair of Peregrine falcons and spotted not one but two kingfishers in different locations in one week.

And a buzzard giving me a sort of 'do you know how small and insignificant you look down there'-look.

    Thanks Dane!
The one thing I really struggled with was trying to get the whole wingspan in but still being in close enough to see the bird - and get some bokeh to separate the bird from the background. In each shot I either got the full wingspan, or the good background. I still have to figure out how to get both.
