You guys are amazing - really nice and diverse and wonderful information - Bob I love that shot of the pier - thanks for the description I learned a lot from that about the North Sea

See how a description adds so much to an image - even Bills pot holes

This is inside the North Head lighhouse looking south toward Cape Disappointment and the mouth of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean.

Heres another from me closer to home the lake at Newmillerdam which dates back 1285 when the area was known as New Mylle on Dam, taking its name from a corn mill that stood on the site. In the 1600's it became part of a big country estate the type of which you see all over England, the boathouse in the picture was built in the early 1800's and the lake and surrounding area is now a nature reserve and Country Park for everyone to enjoy.

Here's the boathouse a little closer, had to wait for a night shot because unlike George I went when it was a dismal day...

Cheers George... now can you go and photograph Battings Reservoir for me and get the info as I have an image in mind to post for that...

That's fascinating -- two similiar images, taken in the same location, by two different photographers!

The photo is taken in Fiji, in Tokoriki Island; from the swimming pool that seems to merge with the ocean. Well, living on an island is all about WATER...
