    Looks too much like a snapshot to me. Also, the lower portion of the shot is very busy, with the people and vehicles
    detracting rather than adding to the composition.

    Well the question is obvious, how would you get all the cars and people out of there to take that one in a million shot?

    I would try it with a longer shutter speed - if you have some ND-Filters with that. That helps to blur all the people and cars in the lower foreground. This creates some moving action and the "snapshot look" disappears. With ND-Filters you even get the chance to cut out all the people... at least it isn't that kind of tourist-shot every rome visitor has (like me) at the end
