I like the composition of #2. You might even try this as a black & white with a good contrasty sky.

All of these shots are weak, in terms of no real centre of interest with visual impact. Number 2 is the best in terms of the path leading into the image but your mistake was in exposing for the sky rather than the foreground. Possible solution is selectively improving the foreground exposure in postprocessing. Did you consider doing that?

Rural photography needs skill to represent rural images into photos. For this you should have more skill and experience as well. Your photographs are quite good and i like it very much especially the first one. Keep posting such photographs forever.

    Hi Morgan,

No 1 is essentially quite a boring scene but I think your efforts to make it interesting are commendable. The trees draw my eye really nicely into the centre but all I find when I get there is a notice - I t could do with having a statue or a couple of people instead. I think there is scope in the sky to make it amore dramatic but it still won't make it very interesting.

No 2 is a lovely shot. I think you did right in exposing for the sky otherwise it would have been blow out. You could perhaps lighten the foreground a bit more but I don't think you need to - we are used to seeing a dark foreground when looking in to the light.

No 3 is a slightly different take on the same scene as 2. On this one the sky is a slot lighter and I think it could do with being darkened and the contrast increasing.

I'm not a fan of No 4 - it is a good idea to try to get an abstract shot out of what was in front of you, but I think it needs something more - perhaps very close in with a wide angle lens and the beams going diagonally??
