    Did you know you can treat a .JPG file as a RAW file in Photoshop? If your camera does not shoot in RAW, try this. In Photoshop CS3 or higher (I do not know about previous versions or Elements) select, File/Open As…, and change the open as drop down to Camera Raw. Next, select your JPG file and click open. It's that simple. Your file will open in the Camera Raw dialogue, giving you access to many of the controls of a true Camera Raw file. Give it a try.

    Great tip, just tried it in elements 5 and it works.
    Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words "I have a cunning plan" marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
