This, in my opinion is a huge step forward in the world of imaging, both still and moving. Never before has more speed than a Nikon D3S and the same resolution as a D3X (or if you like Canon 1Dsmkiii res and 1dmkiv speed) been wrapped up into a body that costs less than £1150!
If there's anything that can take down the canon 7d/60d and Nikon d7000/d300s, then without a doubt in my mind it will be this, no two ways about it.
Reviewers so far say the EVF kills all the bad expectations, comparing it to the screen of the iPhone 4, you cant see the pixels, and as it's an OLED screen and not an LED one, there's no RGB tearing, the one put off for me and EVF's.
You can download full res images with firmware 1.0 in a .Zip file on this website fotoMagazin | Test Technik | Testbilderd say top stuff from Sony, also they've taken great steps to try and match the professional services from Canon and Nikon, like I said, this is THE CaNikon killer in my opinion!

Apparently the Sony A99 is in the planning stage for April 2012 to replace the A900. Should be an interesting Spring.

What I're read so far, it's sensor is weaker than Canon 6D. It seems that Canon learned the lesson with the new Canon 5D mark IV
