Sad. Britain is becoming a fascist state, like in Children of Men.

I can say that they are much more polite than our officers may be in the United States.
Although while in Virginia taking photographs this fall, an officer asked me if I was getting wonderful shots and was I enjoying my stay.

    Nothing like this.

I work in the Security field and I can say that we are taught to be suspicious of people who stop to take photos of the place I work. Most often the public is more interested in the 'history' of my work place than anything else.

    Amazing article and video.

There are a lot of cops everywhere on power trips and Patefield seems to me a bit confrontational.

It pays to be polite, even to a cop...

I find it ridiculous, the extent that the police go to, because someone has a nice camera, and appears to be sneakily taking photo's... What if a real terrorist had been using his mobile to take pictures? The police wouldn't have done a thing With the way things are going, in two years time I can see paparazzi getting arrested for plotting assassination!

Whats even more disturbing is that all of this seems to be comming out of the UK. Here in Canada we don't seem to have this problem, yet.
