Neat challenge Dane - I have to get motivated on this one.

As I sat watching the flames of a bonfire last night, this challenge came to mind. To get them out of focus I slowed the shutter speed down and then moved the zoom out as I took the picture. I hope they fit the challenge.

I've just never been able to wrap my simple brain around different artistic interpretations like this. It just doesn't make sense to me.
I can't get past not having at least a small portion of the image in focus, something for the eye to focus on. About the only thing I can understand is Dane's first image, only because I'd use it as a texture to add a little bit of interest to an image. I guess I just need to give this some more thought.
