Well that image needs to be included too as a testament to impermanence. I can't believe you left it there and then went back and found it again. That act in itself is so beautiful. I would love to see the two images side by side by the sea.
You know, I just thought of an image I saw of some buddhist monks at the Art Institute here in Chicago maybe a year ago. They were doing this demonstration of "sand painting" in which they work for a week or so to make a very intricate and beautiful image on a large board with colored sands. A mandala.
Then when it is finished, they lift up the corners and pour it into the sea, and it's gone.
Your image very much reminds me of that. And that, in turn, reminds me of your image.
