I was very excited when I found the book, I especially love the way the beach was taking it over and integrating it into itself. That night there was a storm with some high winds and I went back the following evening to see what happened to it. I almost didn't find it - it had been washed to a different location and there was just part of a page showing with the rest submerged in sand. Naturally I have a picture of that too, just haven't had a chance to take it off the camera yet.
Well that image needs to be included too as a testament to impermanence. I can't believe you left it there and then went back and found it again. That act in itself is so beautiful. I would love to see the two images side by side by the sea.

You know, I just thought of an image I saw of some buddhist monks at the Art Institute here in Chicago maybe a year ago. They were doing this demonstration of "sand painting" in which they work for a week or so to make a very intricate and beautiful image on a large board with colored sands. A mandala.

Then when it is finished, they lift up the corners and pour it into the sea, and it's gone.

Your image very much reminds me of that. And that, in turn, reminds me of your image.

So I take it that it's a boy?
... or that you bought the bear with the interchangeable blue / pink ribbons and ear and paw inserts? :P

Melboutchou - The baby bump is lovely.

I'm just going to squeak in one last one since I mentioned it earlier - the book part 2, after the storm:
