It's that time again. This is the only challenge that does not require new shots. With only a couple of weeks left, this final challenge of the year is to pick and post your two favorite photographs taken during 2010. They don't have to have been a challenge entry. Just the two YOU think are your Favorites of the Year.

As an option, you may present in an additional post up to two more photos, if your husband, wife, SO, friend or muse disagrees with your assessment.

So, up to a maximum of 4 photos per person - your favorite 2 and someone else's favorite 2 if they're different. Make them 2 separate posts. Looking forward to putting together a gallary of everyone's best work.

Enjoy the challenge. Should be fun.

This is a candid shot...sort of candid - the little boy caught me shooting, of a young saddle bronc rider and his son behind the chutes before a rodeo. I liked the shot for the contrast of this quiet moment and coming ride this young man was going on. Also, the weathered corral fencing and bulls sitting just on the other side. Hope you like it - C/C welcome.

Merry Christmas and healthy, happy New Year to all. (I know not everyone here celebrates Christmas...if that offends you - just read it as 'best wishes')

Terry, what a wonderful moment captured! I like everything about it... my eye goes directly to boy and father, wanders to take in the boots and the bull, and then snaps back to the boy. Excellent.

I wonder if the manufacturer of the chaps would have an interest in the photo?

Dane, I always look forward to this "challenge" -- and a challenge it is to narrow down our favorites to two (or four)! It's always a good thing to reflect and review images taken throughout the year.

And what a wonderful image to start off with! Wonderful moment captured!

    What a great challenge!

At the moment, this is my fave of the year. It'll take some time to decide on a second one

This is my husband caught showing a little attitude towards his speed bag. I'm guessing the bag was winning, lol

With Ali as inspiration! Nice catch, Patty.

This is one of my favorites. I think I spent about 1 hour taking photos of this caterpillar. He really was a great subject. Didn't complain or fidget too much

I will need some time to think about the second photo.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

Hard to do, but I loved this one from the very beginning of this year, Jan 3rd:

And as much contrast as you can get, one of the "High Lights" of my vacation in the French Alps. (Aug)
The mountain in the background is the Mont Blanc (±4800m) pictured from 75 km away, from a blazing hot
Col de Madeleine at ±2000m high, it was 30° C.

I'll ask the wife to get me two more... (should be fun!)
