This is my second one that I feel is one of my best. It's from a bull riding event up in Wyoming last March. It was indoors so the white balance was real funky and high iso. Before the event a group of bull riders gathered to pray and I caught this one. I liked having the ambulance in the picture and the horses. This shows something besides the sterotypical drinkin', chewin', cussin' cowboy. These young men will 'yes, sir' 'thank you, sir' no, sir' you all day long. And many - like these have a deep seated religious side. C/C welcome.

I've had a great time on this website this year and enjoyed the challenges. They've forced me to get out the camera more stretch my capabilities, and I've learned a lot just 'listening' to some of the big guns here. Thanks.

    Terry, another good one!

Bill, I remember the daisies... a composition exercise as I recall. Very nice!

Here's my first... taken not long ago. Sunset on Chincoteague Island.

Nice shot, Dane. The wide angle lens perspective pulls you to the center. Good Job.

p.s. - aren't there supposed to be ponies on that island? where are they?

We saw the ponies that day, but from a distance. I had a 1.4x TC on a 300mm lens and they were much too far away.

I took this July 7th, 2010 at Castaway Island Preserve near Jacksonville Beach, FL. 7:00am. This is one of my all-time favorites and since I've noticed some others doing it, I too must delve deeper into my folders to find my second choice. Hope you all enjoy this shot!
