Finally found the 'round tuit' I've been looking for and made some shots for this challenge. On one I put a watercolor filter on to give a little artsey-fartsey look - the other is as shot.

I used a bounce flash off the steel barn roof to fill in a bit. Any comments/critique would be welcome.

Excellent rope and saddle. Textures are real life rich and satisfying. The water color effect may work at times, but not so much here. Gives me the impression of a fleck coat spray. This time 'real' is better.

Emotional feeling.. logic has nothing to do with it. I like it! Can almost smell the leather. Tony

Well, I finally got through a week of using the "cropping square" and I have had fun! This has been really neat and I hope everyone else has had fun with it (seeing the photos from you all, makes it clear that fun has been had)!

Thought I would give it a go. Seems so simple, but I never really think about applying a square crop to my images--so excellent tip!
