A spate of warm weather over the past several hundred thousand years has left Florida's Panhandle a touch short of show for me to shoot. But we do have the whitest sand beaches on the planet, so that will have to do. As a fallback, I do have a white cat but he's not very big, maybe a macro---
White is too hard. It is never the same. Balancing for white gives me blue clouds, and aqua whitecaps. White is never actually white, and even when it is, it isn't. Like that little white ball that can spoil a nice walk in the woods, white is there in photography to put furrows in the brow. Balancing for white in paid jobs often drives me to drink. That is the one thing I like about it. Rich
That second picture is great. Those trees make it look like he was in hurricane force winds!
This is an HDR composite I did. Seven bracketed exposures at 1EV intervals. Did a little PS to remove "T" post fence and propane tank at the back of the church.
