    Hi folks,

If you have followed my educational blogs, it's no secret that I believe one of the most important composition guidelines a photographer -- especially beginning photographers -- can embrace is KISS. It's the phrase that SHOUTS in my head every time I pick up my camera. What's at stake with this challenge?

You could very well be the winner of the coveted, but seldom bestowed, Hub KISS Achievement Award.

(Void where prohibited by law and immediate members of the Hub family are not allowed to enter. Duplicate prizes will be awarded in case of ties. Decision of the judges is final.)

I look forward to seeing your best KISS efforts. Good luck.

    Hub

    Great challenge HUB.
Although I have to force myself to remember to keep it simple sometimes, once in a while I listen to myself.

Another good one, Hub! I'll paw thru my pictures and see if I got anything.

Um, but uh, hmm... TE, uhh, do you hear any other voices? Did you ever work for the post office?

    Does this shout, Hub?

Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.

Nice start everyone. FYI: I didn't limit you to one image. I only limited it to everyone's best efforts.

Vital Spark, your thorn shouts SHARP. But I guess that's the point. Isn't it?

mhinchee, can't get much simplier than boat, water and sky. Or can you?

Ricky-O, you aren't going to like this, but I can't see your picture. No image is displayed Unless that's your idea of simplicity.

Bill, forget the archives. Get out there and take something new. I didn't recycle this challenge. So you can't recycle a picture. Post office?

To keep your eye on the prize: Here's that coveted Hub's KISS Award that's at risk.

    Keep up the good work.

New this morning in the garden the palm near the pond has survived the winter pretty well - simple lines.

... and then coming back to the house through an arch which is as black as night underneath because of a passion flower that engulfs it the sun was shining through some of its leaves in the dark.
