    Craig,

Nice image the color definitely isolates the rope. And the textures seem to spell country.

I've watch rodeo events, but have never knew much about the gear being used. Thanks for the inside look.

the pigging string is what the roper uses to tie the calfs feet.......here's a roper "backed into the box" waiting for the calf to get straight in the chute so when he comes out it'll be running in a staight line so he can get a quicker rope on it...when that calf gets straight in the chute, the roper will nod his head and teh chuteman will pop the gate .....within 2.5 seconds that roper will have a loop on its head and be on the ground in route to tie his feet...........
hit the wrong button again sorry

Wow! Nice photos longshot, suesue, silversalt and akd200.
I esp like the driftwood on the beach.
I have one question though, Doesn't shooting into the sun like AKD200's shot ruin the camera sensor?

    Simply excellent Sue. Great eye.

Longshot, very well done. Simple and well conceived. Fine post processing b&w work.

Silversalt, you certainly found simple. Sharp and well exposed. You might consider applying the rule of thirds to your image.

Well done all. Thanks for contributing.
