I just found out today that I'll be traveling on business for a week to New York during mid March. While it will be a good trip I hate being away alone for the week.

As much as I like the pictures, they are becoming too complex to be called simple. KISS means simple throughout the picture. By this I mean, a core subject and uncomplicated backgrounds. Experiment with trying to see how few elements you need to include to end up with a picture that is visually interesting/compelling and includes no extraneous visual distractions.

KISS doesn't mean easy. Just simple and direct.

Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.

the jerkline is what a calf roper will use to direct his horse to back up to keep the rope slack on a calf tight during the time hes tying its feet.....as he dismounts off his horse to run out to flank the calf for tying, this line unfolds out of his belt and he then can pull on it to direct his horse accordingly if needed......all this happens in under 8 seconds if you've ever watched tie down roping

    Nice catches everyone.

The two bird images on this page are particularly stunning in their composition and simplicity.

    Well done to all.
