    Default Printing Question

so lets start by saying i'm an idiot.

i did a quick edit on a file just for a facebook toss-up because i didn't think the shoot was as good as i envisioned. i'm now absolutely in love with the image, as are others, and i do not remember for the life of me how i edited it. so reproducing those results from the raw is proving to be a challenge.

as of right now its a 2048x2048 image and i want to have it printed to canvas. realistically, if i cannot reproduce the editing... how large could i think to make this image before quality is degraded beyond repair?

    PHOTO EDITING NOT OK

Sorry I can't help with your specific question but the thought occurs to me that if you had used Lightroom for your post processing then you would have had a complete history of the steps that you took...

Hope someone else can answer your query.

Taking photos that please me, but if you like them too then it's a bonus!

300dpi is a common print density. That would put your 2048 pixels square image at about 7" x 7". You could try to cheat the size up a little, but asking how far you can cheat it is really subjective. Some people wouldn't be bothered by 150dpi in a 14"x14" print, but 150dpi would drive other people nuts.
