    out of the shadows

just messing around at a friends house.
thought I would try some shots I don't normally do.
you know, branch out a little.

spent a lot of time trying to decide how i wanted to edit this, and how far into the black to go with the shirt, as well as how dramatic i wanted to make the contrast.

this wasnt even supposed to be anything more than a test shot to dial in some numbers, but i wound up liking the angel so i kept it.

because standing in front of a camera makes you thirsty, apparently.

I like the b+w picture, with the exception of the hand beside his head. The first time I saw the picture, my eyes were drawn to it to try and figure out what it was, not it just seems a little distracting.

My favorite by far is the pop can shot. You look relaxed, serious without looking pissed off, and the Rembrandt lighting is nice, not perfect, but nice. Just above this shot is the shot you like most. It reminds me of a time in Tombstone when a guy was in a box propped up against the wall. Looks like you are holding your breath and tucking your stomach in. It just doesnt look comfortable. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.
