    Great shot! I usually don't like a subject so close to the background, but in this case the background has a pretty interesting texture and the soft shadows play with it and really bring out the three dimensional texture -- plus it shows off that even at this close range you're still getting a diffuse shadow.

    I had to put him that close in order to demonstrate what happens with light as you go from a small light source to a larger one. As stated, it is all part of a section of my video on lighting.
