I don't think any of us like the state highway workers who hold us up for long periods of time, but I took a liking to this one.

I was waiting at a junction, in the hot sun, and sniffing the wonderful tarry smell from the road works, when I figured she would make a good portrait. I grabbed my little Nikon P&S and shot one frame, then cropped out large chunks of sky and road.

I'm not into shooting portraits but this will be a keeper for me.
