Lucky shot this one, he just happened to ride by me on this horse, had my 100-400 on and it turned into a nice tight impromptu portrait. Interesting note, all the horses they use are rescue animals and are well taken care of.

These are great and I can appreciate the difficulty with the sun, the moving animals, and the crowd!
    You did a fine job.

I always wanted to be a knight when I grew up.
Wrong gender for it, but it was always a kid dream to dress up as one!

Great job, I agree how difficult it is to work with sun, horses and speed...

Thanks for looking and your comments! This time of year the shadows are so harsh, and shame on me for not using a polarizer. I had one with me but with a long tele you have to remove the hood and readjust the polarizer every time you switch from landscape to portrait. Yucko. New invention: A polarizer with a moveable/lockable weight that will float to the desired setting when you turn the camera.

Penguin: Wasn't it Eric the Shrubber who replied "Oh what times are these when men can roam the countryside saying "NI!" to old women..."

Brilliant shots and all well taken. Great subject. All glitter glam and bling! Plus the speed - you did well. Boxplayer
