Had to upload it, the link rotated it?
wow, I would say you deffinately got what you were looking for the second time. How long of an exposure did you have to use to get that level of clarity?
Looks like you've came a long way there Michael.
Nikon D300 - Nikkor 18-55VR, 55-200, 70-300VR - Sigma 50-500 (Bigma)
Bogen Manfrotto Tripod, Manfrotto Monopod, & Ballheads
All stuffed into two Pelican waterproof cases.
Thanks guys... Im not to sure about the exposure. Ill look back into that data.
The new shot is much better - now you're starting to get some surface detail.
I think most of us who have attempted a moon shot, overexposed it the first time. You'd think that because it's dark you need a longer exposure. That's a huge difference between your first and second shots. Strange how it got turned upside down. You're not in Australia, are you?
No Im in New Hampshire, I was horrified when I seen the first pic, didn't look like that in the viewfinder!
most attempts I have made at getting the moon come out like your first one.. I guess maybe I need to try again. LOL.
