    Default Nightlife?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I wanted to share my progression with you all on shooting the moon.

    Heres my first attempt

After looking at that I was discouraged, so months later... gave it another shot.

Enjoy, comment appreciated and critique accepted.

wow, I would say you deffinately got what you were looking for the second time. How long of an exposure did you have to use to get that level of clarity?

The new shot is much better - now you're starting to get some surface detail.

Nikon D5100 with lots of buttons and things, and a neck strap so I don't drop it, but I could still fall over and drop it in the mud.

I think most of us who have attempted a moon shot, overexposed it the first time. You'd think that because it's dark you need a longer exposure. That's a huge difference between your first and second shots. Strange how it got turned upside down. You're not in Australia, are you?

Okay to post your photos in my threads
Okay to whine about what I should have done to get a better photo.
