Given the right conditions, approximately 15 minutes after the sun sets and upto 30 minutes from thereafter the sky can turn to a beautiful bright blue (almost colbalt) and can really enhance an image. but again given the right conditions

Yes I know and have been trying. The best view point is on a bridge and at that hour of the day ... you know traffic

The pics bellow were shot by that hour but 20 Km south at Miramar, Porto, Portugal.

    Thank you.

To which one do you refer ?

Nome of the three is HDR. All direct shots. Very minor adjustments ... mainly resizing.
The yellowish tone on the second is due to the light from the road just behind me.
The small chapel is a monument with several lights on the floor around it (turned on minutes before)
    Nikon D90 + Nikkor 18-105 VR + tripod + IR trigger.

If you think it's useful, I'll post the exif.
