.. With all the Hoopla' & talk of late about tonight's "Super-Moon" I couldn't resist playing
a bit with my last Full Moon' attempt from 3-1/2 year's ago.
It's going on 6' pm. here in Washington State and it look's like the Cloud's might break up a bit.
Gonna be fun getting set up in the back yard on these crutch's from a recent knee injury.
Surrounded by lot's of tall tree's & house's, an early horizon shot is out out of the question.
Think I'll make a pot of coffee and see what happens.

.. Please feel free to post your "Super-Moon" shot's here.

Wow that is superb ...... would love to be able to replicate that one ....great shot Don

Did you use a telescope for this one or 500mm lens ..... or bigger ?

and if you are on crutches ..... its not worth it going out and injuring yourself more for a couple of shots of the Moon.

Especially when you have one that is that good .....

    Take care now .......

.. Hey' thank's 23'd* .. lol', I wish I had the original files of that shoot, I lost alot of my
pic's last year when my PC crashed', this a very low resolution & edit I found in an old e-mail.
This was taken with my brand new (at the time) Sigma 50-500' @ 500, f-11, 1/500 s
.. and yes I'v got an external hard drive now for back-up.

Good to hear you have back ups now ..... like that lens too ..... and the results ....

That could make me start looking at using the sigma 50-500 for canon .... might become this years Xmas present for me.

Do you use it a lot .. ( looks a big heavy lens ).. or is it too big and bulky to be carrying everywhere ....
I am guessing its used for special occasions .....

.. I would recommend this "poor man's long lense" to anyone,
I just love mine, resolution/sharpness is decent for the price.* (thousand buck's) and it's built like a Tank!
Only draw back is weighs a ton, just over 4'lbs! .. hence the nick-name "Sigma-Bigma"
    This make's it very challenging at air-show fly-by's "hand-held"
You really know it after 2-3 hr's of hefting & panning with that baby!

.. I just went out back & still no sign of Mr. Moonlight*

    .. Cool video 23d'
Well this is the best I could muster last night, that old moon sure was bright!
Had to boost the iso's for a fast enough shutter, would of liked a little more detail*
Will try again in a couple day's when the shadow's really define the crater's*
