    So, I'm curious fellow photographers.

We take hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs a year. We share our work with our on-line friends and acquaintances. We discuss the merits of our work, striving to learn and improve with each post.

But...which of your images have you printed, framed and hung on the walls in your home? And, what influenced you to print and frame those particular images -- some of your best work, emotional impact, family favorites, reminder of a vacation, favorite spot, color fits with your decor, etc.

Share with us here in this never-ending theme!

    I'll start things off:

    1) Printed large and on canvas, this image was truly a "lucky shot." I was out walking one morning and just happened to turn around to notice the light shining through the trees. I literally pointed the camera and snapped off a quick shot before the light changed.

    2)

Hanging in a guest bedroom (the one primarily for my grandsons), this image, while a personal favorite, was selected for decorating purposes because of the colors!

    3)

I have a series of black and white images grouped above the couch in the bonus room. This one is central to the group.

    4)

The windmill on the family farm is printed and framed quite large -- a focal point for the entire room. It's companion piece is a tree from the family farm. Memories.....

Those are a few of what's hanging on my walls -- Now, please share with us "What's Hanging On Your Walls"

Sue I have to dig through the archives for most of my printed material........since I kind of took a break from shooting for a while. I have a wall covered in black poster board panels that Steph(girlfriend) and I print and hang new shots every month. So how it works....choose you best 3 shots for the month print and hang. 36 pics for the year each 8 by 10. Then we have friends and family come over and vote on the top 3 print them larger and hang them in the living room. As the months revolve off the wall the prints are stored or given as gifts for folks. My sister normally grabs them up. It's great to be able to look at your style and growth for the year. Steph has paid for most of her camera gear from sales of these pics. I'm not quite as socially comfortable submitting mine to different events she participates in.

But I must say I see why all yours shots are hanging on the walls!!!! Just lovely all of them!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! The 1st and last really are right up my alley.

Before we moved I kind of did something similar. I had an arrangement of "gallery shelves." I had some standard black frames that I rotated pieces in and out for display. It was interesting to see how people felt about the different "collections" on display; some had "lasting power," others didn't.

Funny how perception works. Pics from 3-4 years ago I would not even bother editing or printing now. When your weaknesses are displayed for an entire year.........you start SEEING a lot more from behind the camera.

Great thread to start!!!!! Can't wait to see future contributions.

I have several others but because we have such a small house, I simply rotate photos according to the season and what is our current favorites.

I think I'm beginning to see a pattern -- sounds like rotating work is common.

It doesn't surprise me that you have selected waterfall images...nice ones at that.

I too have some family pictures hanging, especially the grandkids (duh!)

Beautiful work. Should be in an art gallery!

This was the first one... hanging in our master bath.
