I'm starting to get the Christmas spirit! The decorations are up; the Christmas cards are in the mail; the gifts are purchased and many are wrapped; the baking has begun; Christmas music is filling the air...all is ready for the celebration to begin!

Knowing this is a forum represented by folks around the world, and knowing that this time of year folks celebrate a diverse range of holidays, perhaps it might be interesting to share the sights of the season from YOUR perspective. Christmas. Kwanza. Hanukkah. Diwali. Whatever, or however, you celebrate -- feel free to share photos here. (Limit two per post, please, but feel free to post as often as you wish!) Let's enjoy a diversity of holiday traditions through our collection of images in this never-ending theme.

I'll start with a couple I've recently photographed.

I figured you'd be one of them...

I did pick up a poinsettia at Lowes.

I went through a period of a "slump" -- didn't have the holiday spirit at ALL! Moving to the new house, being close to the grandkids, and having time for a change has most certainly helped my outlook! Ho! Ho! Ho!

He looks sleepy and innocent, but I suspect that Mr. Morris had a hand in the disruption of the Christmas Bears and the Snowman.
Further investigation shows a dog toy and been flung under the tree.

Mr. Morris claims innocence. He'll have to be watched.

That Morris gets around. The star of story books, now relaxing under the tree -- AFTER chasing Christmas bears and snowmen.

Love the antique ornament. Ornaments like that help bring back treasured memories each year as we decorate our trees.

Love the festive lights presented in such a unique and creative manner! Too cool!!!

I want to go out shooting at night to try to photograph lights. This gives me some inspiration for trying a "new interpretation" to an a traditional subject.
