After a long, icy winter, I am quite anxious for spring to arrive. I find myself looking for even the tiniest signs of spring -- the buds, the blossoms, the greener grass, etc.

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden. ~Ruth Stout

I shared this image yesterday on another thread, but will post it here to start this thread off. I look forward to viewing YOUR "Signs of Spring!"

This should be fun, Sue! Good start, Joe.

No flowers or even buds here yet :P I could do a Robin but it'd be eensy-weensy.

Here, this is a definite sign- no ice.

Ah...but Bill, "gray skies are going to clear up!" Love the blue skies and reflections in the water, even if there isn't much green. And NO ICE is a very good thing.

You are going to have to keep us posted on the garden. Condo living doesn't allow us to have a garden here.

There aren't too mant signs of spring visible yet here in Gaylord, MI, but I did notice a couple. First of all, the snow and ice are melting. I just happened to catch this drip of water from an icicle. Took many pictures and got lucky!

And, the second sign. THE BIRDS ARE RETURNING!!!! YAAAY!! My son and I laid bread out on the porch to attract the blue jays for photo ops from inside the house. I caught this guy resting. Had to do a bit of manipulation to bring out the colors, but I guess it looks ok. LOL It was very washed out to begin with.

Cool melting ice photo! Your patience paid off. And, isn't it wonderful that the ice is MELTING! And, aren't we glad to hear the birds singing and fluttering around.
