Book photo - what to charge?

Someone has contacted me on Flickr to ask me if they can use one of my plant photos in a book and what I would charge.

Stock photo sites are charging $15-20 for similar images, so is this a fair price?

I assume the value will be higher if they want exclusive use.

All advice will be gratefully received.

Indeed, but this was a photo taken purely for hobby. I have no intention of becoming a commercial photographer. The 'fame' of getting in print means more to me than the money ever will, but I don't want to do the professionals amongst us a disservice by undercharging.

If someone contacted you to use your plant photo then 15$ to 12$ price is not good. You have to charge more and use your name on the photograph as well. This is my opinion and you have to decide what to do.
