So I just want to shoot this question out there for some input. I'm matting and framing my shots for an upcoming art fair and I am pondering weather or not to print in matte or glossy. It might be a matter of preference but I thought I would ask for any opinions. What do you think?

I think it depends on the shot myself. I have some I prefer in matte and some I prefer in glossy. Usually I find muted colors look best in matte and vibrant colors more in glossy... but it's an opinion.

Totally agree. When I am showing, I like to pick one or two prints and have them printed in several fashions to show the options to the viewers. While I may prefer glossy or matter or metallic, the customer may like something else. If you can show them the available options it will increase sales. It also allows you to explain why you chose a particular option on a print by print basis.

You should also consider in-between the extremes of glossy and matte, such as luster, pearl, or semi-gloss...
