Probably an overused subject, but recently there was what appeared to be a plague of poppies in the east of England. On my way to work was a huge field, and I couldn't resist stopping for a few pictures. (As did many people; almost every day there was someone stopped taking pictures.)
Hope you enjoy. Any criticism welcomed, of course!

very nicely done.
Personaly i would have cut off more below, but thats personal as i said.
Camera's: Canon 1d mrk III , Nikon d200, d70s. Lenses: sigma 50mm/ 105 macro 2,8, tokina pro 10-20 3,5 and a 70 200 2.8 sigma and a 70 200 L USM 2,8.

Great shot Haydn, I was over doncaster way earlier in the year and came across a huge poppy field - and was wondering why and if it was some way of replenishing the nitrogen in the soil or something after years of growing rape seed - wish I knew.
