quick sidenote before I start, had the biggest missed photo-op just now at lunch, a guy was training 4 massive eagles and having them fly all over city hall and they were perching on monuments infront of massive skyscrapers, oh why dont i ever remember my camera?
Im a huge mountain freak, hill freak, slight rise in the land freak, basically im against anything flat! You can imagine my upset at being born in central Canada. These are 3 of my favourite shots i've taken of mountains, The one from in the clouds is part of a whole ton of photo's that are my faves, but I thought i'd just take the one I liked the best instead of overloading y'all with them!
The first one is from the most beautiful train ride i've ever taken, from Oslo to Bergen in Norway, you go right through the fjords, ice-capped mountains, and tiny villages barely visible in the snow. I don't know why I like this photo so much, I just do:

This one is from Lietchenstein, a beautiful, if comically small, country, it borders germany, switzerland, and austria, so in the span of one day, and one epic walk, my feet were in 4 different countries (two of them twice).

Lastly this was one of the best moments of my life, being ontop of the alps in Austria (outside of Innsbruck), and ascending so high as to be literally in the clouds, this is about halfway up into them.

Beautiful shots.
-
the eagles would of been a great shot to.
-
They are all wonderful shots Alex but the first one is the winner, I have been through the Swiss alps quite a few times when I was younger by train to northern Italy and I can relate to mountains - they are majestic, breath taking and all those other great superlatives.
As for the eagles a lesson learned - get a P&S with a half decent optical zoom and have it with you always.
basically im against anything flat!
I guess living in Holland is out of the question then

I have seen mountains only once in my life and I don’t think I’ll get the chance again. Thanks to you and your great pictures, I can enjoy them here at home.
