Pretty good startIt's always better to get odd numbers of things-no idea why but it seems to work for most things...nice depth of field but the flowers do seem a bit soft.Have you sharpened them before posting to the net?
Compositionally I would try and avoid having your subject too central in the frame,try placing the main subject on one of the thirds lines and see how it changes to look of a picture.Some plants and flowers also look better if they're captured in portrait rather than landscape format.
