    just a shot i took a few weeks ago at the botanical garden... i liked the autumn colors and the way the trees frame the path toward the pavilion... 5D, 24-135 @ 31mm, 1/2 sec @ f/11

    I like this shot. I need to get in the habit of bringing my tripod so I can do longer exposures. The half-second exposure at f-11 gave you the depth of field you needed in what must have been poor lighting.

    thanks, Ron. yeah, it was the typical Washington weather for late fall... gray, dull, on the verge of rain - but the colors are often more vivid then, and there aren't the harsh shadows you get on a sunny day. on balance, though, i'd rather have sun!
