    That is awesome. I love the island. It shows that the object came in from space on an angle with so much force, it liquified the ground and then cooled fast leaving the small mount. Water collects and that beautiful lake is created!

    Whoa, just read the site... It was a volcanic basin. That makes the island a lava dome. My bad. lol

    nice pano... Crater Lake is an incredible place. i went there last summer for the first time, only had about three hours to spend. i would love to go back to spend a couple of days photographing that amazing lake... i didn't think the park was open in winter, though...
