Hi all, im brand new to dslr photography. i'd love a critique on my first HDR attempt from raw. i dont have a tripod so i had to make the exposure adjustment in aperture, then i used photomatix.

Heres the link to view it full size: FULL SIZE

I was really undecided about whether or not to crop. the rose seems undramatic for this distance BUT i really wanted to keep the string and the sides of the box showing.. so idk.

    thanks

    lc1102002,

As a first attempt, I would rate you image high. You did a fine job.

I am not certain that the dynamic range of this scene need HDR, but your results are very fine -- and definitely a great way to break into the subject.

I'm ready to see "2nd Attempt".
