I'm glad this particular thread has surfaced once again -- it's a GREAT one!

So, has anyone ever played a wash-tub bass?

    OK so here goes:

I took this shot from and of the roof of the mall in Augsburg a few days ago using an old 35mm camera. Converting it to BW after getting it back from the lab, it struck me that the architecture is quite reminiscent of Bauhaus.

Bauhaus, despite the name, were a British punk(ish) band in the 80's (possibly also earlier, but that's before my musical awakening!)

This is though-provoking, Fred Berg, as usual; a theme that runs through everything I've seen of yours. It does indeed somewhat resemble the building from the Weimar days, having little to do with music. I love the nominal connection with the group as a way of connecting the image with this thread.

I have enjoyed everything you've posted, Fred Berg, though I don't always comment.
