Cool explosions should have some explanation and background information.

Oh, it was with your first post. But what was the point of the blast?

Sorry people...I'm new to this but I will try harder next time.

As far as the history of the blast, I was up in Nunavut working at a new mining camp that is being developed and they were blasting a new area for the air strip. I just happened to be finished my shift and had just gone for a walk when I heard them announce the blast was going to take place.

This blast was closer to camp than normal and you could actually feel the earth move from a 1/4 mile away.

I have other blast photos, but none were as good as this....they were either too far away or the timing was not right.

Thanks for the info, it would have been fun to have had a tripod.

rsequin....without appearing to be lacking in intellectual skills, could you tell me how you arranged your photos in those "click" boxes so that when they are clicked, they enlarge? I could really use a system such as this. Thank you. Tony

Actually I didn't do anything special...when i created the post I clicked the browse button and found the photos I wanted to include in the post. Then I clicked "Add This Attachment" button. Once they were uploaded, another button appears and its says, add the attachement to the post or something like that and I clicked on that and the program does the rest.

    I hope this helps.
