    One from last night.

    Homemade garlic bread and a plate of seared scallops on beds of celeriac mash, wilted spinach with garlic, red chili and a sprinkle of red and black caviar. (Not the Russian type, the Danish one)

    grogo, in my opinion your food plates are too crowded, in food photography generally less is more..;.more artistic. try working with less food on your plate and see if it does not please you more

    Oh I do very much agree with you but this is how I (we) eat it. I plate the food, take a photo sometimes and then I serve. Would I do the same in a restaurant or for a food shoot only? Nope.

    Looks like you need better light. One good option to start food photography with a day Light.
