It isn't boring. It just needs a little adjustment in contrast and levels using Photoshop.

Landscape photography is one kind of art and you can not learn it easily. So for that you have to do lot of practice and work hard. Once you get the mastery then there is nothing to compare about landscape photography.

Although we usually think of a landscape photograph as being targeted on the whole landscape, it's still a wise decision to have some type of point of interest. Some cases are an exciting shrub in the forefront, a town pet grazing in a area, a barn above, etc.

You can use photoshop to adjust the color and the brightness. And you can choose the color do you want on the image.
