    PHOTO EDITING NOT OK
Here's three IR photos I took but I can't seem to get anything out of them.

After reading in a magazine that the Sony A100 gets good results at 5sec exposure with IR filter the three below are taken at 5" 6" and 8". The light was quite good, about lunch time. However there's nothing that I did in photoshop to like the result. Any help?

Below are three more shots, taken at 6", 8" and 10" shutter time. Can't get anything to like from them either.

    Here they are:

You can go ahead and PS them and do whatever you want.

    G'day Grogo,

Looks like all of them are under exposed, but that isn't the real problem. The problem is you are using auto White Balance.

The key to IR is the WB. You need to set a custom WB to either a Neutral Grey, Green Grass, or Blue Sky.

I use much longer exposures on my camera (15sec to 40sec). You might need to play around with longer exposures.

For PS conversion you should give this tutorial a look. Lifepixel video tutorial
They are dealing with images from a converted camera but the procedure is the same.

I hope that helps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Are you trying to do this? Besides your exposures, you have to do some post processing in PS as well.

Play with your exposure, go into PS and change the image to gray scale and tweak it with brightness and contrast.

To make a difference in someones day or life, just be nice.

These were really good to attempt, I have not had the chance to do anything like this yet, I had fun trying out different effects, here are just two of what I did.
