I'm very comfortable working with HDR, and I think it's time I get my feet wet with IR.
1. From the research I've done it seems that the Hoya R72 filter is most popular. What would you recommend to get started?
2. Once the photo is taken, can anyone suggest a good tutorial that explains post processing work flow using CS3?
3. On average, how long do IR exposure need to be?
In advance, many thanks!

1. Good choice, H-72.
2. Google IR and you will find several good articles.
3. Depends on conditions, camera, and camera settings. I have had good results with 8 sec exposure as well as 20 sec's and beyond. Keep in mind some cameras don't do well with IR.
I found with IR it's best to get out and practice with it. My first results sucked so I spent days and days trying to perfect it. Not sure I ever did but I like the results I get.

I've never done color IR due to being colorblind.
To make a difference in someones day or life, just be nice.
