I have a new woman in my life. She's beautiful. She helps me so much. She's sleek, sexy, light, yet strong, black and has three legs...

    my new tripod...

It's a Sunpack, 4300 Pro B, which I picked up for $70.00 at Adorama (less than B & H was selling it for.) I'm very impressed with it so far, it's strong, even fully extended. It's got a quick release which I totally love. I keep the plate attached all the time. (It even came with an extra one.) The one minor down point is that it doesn't have a level, but I picked up a tiny magnetic one at Home Depot & problem sovled.

    Here she is extended...

I love the weight hook at the bottom. I hung my bag on it the other day just to see and it made it even more solid. That bar comes off too and if you turn the tabs oin the top of the legs it fully extends out and gets incredibly low.

    Like this...

    In short... it rawks....

Well done mate, I also got a new one this Christmas, Santa brought it to me (well nope, I got it myself) it's a Slik Carbon Fibre with a Trigger Ball Head, and compared to my old Hama that shakes when you just blow on it (£15) it does the job like a dream, well worth the money.

I'll keep the old one for the flash head I guess...

I looked longingly at carbon fiber, and then decided carrying a heavier tripod would be good for my health!

Oh yeah he does. I didn't unpack his second present yet, a 4 head complete studio lighting kit. Might do on Sunday, and take a few shots.
