Well, like I have mentioned before taking shots with my film camera in anything but ideal light was a real challenge so now I can play around with my settings and see right away how it turns out I just took a quick shot of my living room at night subtly light up by the street lights and maybe some christmas lights that were around at the time! I am finally back at school up north again so there is lots I want to shoot with lots of snow and pretty good weather! I will be posting more of random stuff soon I'm sure

I kinda liked the way the fire turned out and the shadow of the bird on the wall

    Thanks for the look,

    Braden

very nice. the only thing i would change in this photo is to straighten up some of the lines at the top that are curved due to lens distortion. ptlens is a cheap and wonderfully easy program to do that with (and is very good too). after getting rid of the distortion its easy to straighten everything up in photoshop by dropping a few guide lines and using edit>transform.

thats just nitpicking though because its such a great image. i love the warm comforting mood that this scene gives. it feels like home even though i've never stepped foot in the house. the window light adds a wonderful texture and new dimension to the room that lets me know that the warm feeling i get extends beyond the scene to the rest of the house. beautiful work, i can't wait to see more from you and your new camera.

Thank you so much for all of that Siodre! I will look into ptlens and see if I can get it and figure it out!

haha I knew someone was going to mention that I actually contemplated taking the image down for a bit to do that and re-upload it but was feeling kinda lazy :P Thank you for the feedback though smckeag

I really like the picture and effect it gives also. I can also find nitpicks, but I'm sure that now that you know what you can do, you will set the shot up next time.

My 2 cents... I will center better the shoot taking out the roof line.
