Though, regrettably, I have no picture to post, I just couldn't resist...
Lol, hm, I feel the need to do something soon; probably the oil-and-water thing I've been wanting to do.

Marionet - I've been planning that as well for far too long. Maybe we should have an oil-and-water experiment-a-thon. Planning to do some tomorrow. Will post results in your thread...
Ironically, everything I took today was pretty straight forward stuff. Will post todays stuff tomorrow after house cleaning. Goodnight all![]()

:P Hellooooooo Donald
Hm, no need to put them in my thread tho you can if you want. I started dropping things including water into water in different bowls today, and looked at google's "oil and water photography" pages; at the moment, I'm going thru a sort of gleaning process to understand what "experimental" means to me...
Thanks George, I'm not sure what experimenting I'm going to do. I have a tendency to try real hard to make sense and I think I'm going to try to put that aside and do exposures of things that are interesting to me for whatever reason regardless of justification. I used to do that and wasted a lot of film, and then I went commercial and pretty much stopped curiosity shooting. I think if I can put aside goal-oriented sense-making I'll get a lot of garbage but curiosity shooting can be fun just for itself. Lol, kind of like the worm Ouroboros.
Well, I just didn't want it to look like I was stealing your thunder, there.
Anyway, when I'm feeling "experimental" one of the things I play with is throwing the lens completely out of focus, and seeing what kinds of forms arise out of the bokeh. This is how the first "effects on the mind" series was made. You'd be surprised what can emerge.
