We don't get many memorable events in Kogan.

One of the Power Companies constructing a high tension power line through the district wanted to put on a presentation to sell their project to the community, and enlisted the local Progress Association ( of which I was a member) to set up the venue (our local Hall) and cater for the event.

Some photos of the do, all the internal photos were taken hand held with available light.

#1 & #2 The hall dressed for for the event.

    The Minister for Energy arriving.

    The meeting in progress.

    Nice interesting series.

When I saw the last one, I thought for a second someone was getting measured for a suit- the Minister has this thing around his neck (hm, what's it called? I guess it's a sign of his office?) that I thought for a second was a tailor's tape.

I have to ask... why is the minister of energy arriving in a Sea World helicopter? Interesting series!

Well we were being tried-out for a fit-up!

The thing around his neck is a "complimentary tie" from the power company, covered with the company logo. Just the perks of office.
