Taking photos that please me, but if you like them too then it's a bonus!

    I agree!

#2 is a very creative shot - that's my fav from the bunch. I must say I am not a big fan of tilting the images - I keep reaching to grab the cake from falling!

Good job with all the details.
"I don’t use an exposure meter. My personal advice is: Spend the money you would put into such an instrument for film. Buy yards of film, miles of it. Buy all the film you can get your hands on. And then experiment with it. That is the only way to be successful in photography. Test, try, experiment, feel your way along. It is the experience, not technique, which counts in camera work first of all. If you get the feel of photography, you can take fifteen pictures while one of your opponents is trying out his exposure meter." -Alfred Eisenstaedt

    Me too
Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words "I have a cunning plan" marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I really dislike the term snapshots (don't know why, but I think what we strive to do is so much more) Now...as far as your pictures, They are beautiful Candids. My favorite thing to do at weddings. Nice job

I LOVE the calendar shot. Is there some noise on photo #4? I've seen similar shots before but for some reason this one makes my eyes focus weird. I think its because the wedding planner is in the pic and not in the DOF
