Zoom Ring Problem, Please help with my Nikon Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 Lens

Need every Nikon User's help to judge this zoom ring problem:

my lens which bought in Canada about year ago started to have some grinding sound and stiff point.

however, it's been refused to fix by Nikon Richmond, Canada who named Jodine, and told me this is normal and is within Nikon standard.

I bring back the place where I bought the lens, they open several new copy of this lens.. none of lens have this sound and stiff point.

Is it consider normal? I really need everyone's help, support and advise!

Please help and keep the Nikon High standard service.
